Bookmarklet (iOS)

⚠️ Warning: this is the worst experience of the three installs.A bookmarklet can't install itself like an extension or userscript can. You have to set it up by hand, and then run it manually every time you open or refresh sniffies.com. It also has the fewest features. If you can use the Chrome extension or a userscript instead, do that.

For Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or any other non-Safari browser on iPhone. Every iOS browser is required to use Safari's engine under the hood, so Safari's Userscripts app and extensions like Tampermonkey aren't available outside Safari itself. A bookmarklet is the fallback: a bookmark that runs a bit of code on the page you're on instead of opening a link. It works in Safari too, with no app to install.

Heads up: the bookmarklet supports opening profiles outside your free radius and raising the selection caps on Sniffies' Sexuality, Body Type and Position filters. It can't spoof your location, block bots, or add the Gender, Height, Weight and Last Online filters, because a bookmarklet only runs after the page has already loaded. For those, switch to Safari and use the Userscripts app install.

Step 1: Copy the Bookmarklet Code

Step 2: Bookmark a Page

iOS browsers won't let you save the code as a bookmark directly, so bookmark any page first (this one works):

• Safari: tap the Share button, then Add Bookmark
• Chrome: tap ⋯, then Add to Bookmarks

Step 3: Turn the Bookmark into the Bookmarklet

1. Open your bookmarks and tap Edit, then tap the bookmark you just added
2. Rename it to "Sniffies Tools"
3. Delete everything in its address/URL field and paste the code from Step 1
4. Save

Using It

1. Open sniffies.com and wait for the map to load
2. Run the bookmarklet:
   • Safari: open your bookmarks and tap "Sniffies Tools"
   • Chrome and others: tap the address bar, type "Sniffies Tools", and tap the bookmark in the suggestions. Opening it from the bookmarks list may not run it on the current page.
3. You'll see a "Sniffies Tools loaded!" message, and a Sniffies Tools button will appear in the map's row of icons
4. Tap that button, open Open Profiles Outside Boundary, and tap Enable. Set Open in to New tab — opening in the current tab reloads the page, which unloads the bookmarklet.
5. To raise the selection caps, open Profile Filters, tap Enable, then open the Cruisers section of Sniffies' Map Layers menu.

The bookmarklet only lasts until the page reloads, so run it again each time you open or refresh sniffies.com.

Updating

Nothing to do. The bookmark loads the latest version every time you run it.
